Students in K-2 Put on a Play
Emily Koehl

On Thursday, May 20, kindergarten through second grade students put on a play based on the book Magic Treehouse: Pirates Past Noon in the amphitheater as their final project for music and theater class this year. Teachers Kate McElliott and Melissa Schwartz directed the show, and middle school students Pierce Hertz, Alex King, and Ethan Cohn volunteered as the crew, helping with lower students, filming the show, and running sound. Parents were invited on campus to celebrate and the rest of lower school and all of middle school also joined the audience! The theme of the play? Learning to read and being kind! All students had multiple lines, a few dances, and a lot of fun sharing this important message. It was so good to gather safely and share smiles! Arrrrr!
