MSA Wrestlers Compete in First Matches Against GHSA Schools
John Hanrahan, Wrestling Coach

MSA wrestlers performed admirably last night, winning some big matches against GHSA schools: Chapel Hill, Maynard Jackson, and Landmark Christian.

Our defending state finalist, Aidan Karpinski, served notice that he is coming for the GISA State Title this year. Aidan led the way with four victories on the night.

Zach Porter came through with an epic come-from-behind victory that will go down as a teachable moment to never give up. Zach was just five seconds away from losing by a major decision when he came through with a dramatic headlock maneuver securing a Fall for the win.
Congratulations to our newcomers - Jackson Meador, who came away with two huge wins, and Ethan Bronfman, who also came away with a well-earned victory. Daniel Tarrant wrestled up a weight class to challenge a powerful heavyweight opponent and fell just short, but gained valuable experience that will serve him in his run towards a third straight GISA State Medal in February.
