Upper School
Our Upper School serves students in grades 9 through 12. Students in Upper School delve deeper into Project-based Learning to solve real-world problems. Instead of simply memorizing information, students learn by doing—making education more meaningful and memorable. Core classes are taught on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while Tuesdays and Thursdays are dedicated to elective courses that we call “Connections. ” These courses connect students to essential academic skills through subjects and topics that interest them. Students in Upper School continue developing an understanding of who they are, how their brain works, and the tools and skills that will help prepare them to be Real World Ready.
We are grateful that our son seems to be thriving at Mill Springs Academy. This is the first time he has ever gotten involved in sports in high school. He seems to enjoy track, although he hasn't done it before. The atmosphere seems warm, welcoming and supportive for him.
