Our Approach to Learning Differences
Since 1981, Mill Springs Academy has created a safe and encouraging environment for students whose unique learning styles could not be met in traditional public or private schools. Mill Springs Academy provides a college preparatory and career readiness education for each child with opportunities to learn and grow academically and socially.
Mill Springs Academy's founder, Tweetie L. Moore, believed that schools should meet students where they are, and teach the way each individual student learns. Today, Mill Springs continues to act on that foundation, collaborating with each student individually and teaching them the way they learn best. Mill Springs Academy works with students who have a range of diagnoses and comorbidities. Mill Springs Academy's excellent teachers, supportive administration, small class sizes, and robust course offerings mean that we are uniquely equipped to work with each student to ensure that they thrive in school and life.
Mill Springs Academy serves students with a range of diagnosis that include, but are not limited to:
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Anxiety Disorder
- Auditory Processing Disorder
- Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1
- Dyscalculia
- Dysgraphia
