Our Approach to Neurodiversity
Since 1981, Mill Springs Academy has provided a safe, encouraging environment for neurodiverse students whose unique learning styles are not met in traditional public or private schools. We begin by fostering connections - ensuring students feel supported by a community of teachers, administrators, students, and families who uplift them. From there, we empower students to explore, create, and grow at their own page through subjects that interest them. Our goal is to prepare students to be Real World Ready and capable of thriving in any path they choose.
Mill Springs Academy's founder, Tweetie L. Moore, believed that schools should meet students where they are and teach them the way they learn best. Today, we continue to honor that foundation, working individually with students to cater to their unique learning differences and styles. With small class sizes, dedicated teachers, and a robust curriculum, we are uniquely equipped to support students on their journey to becoming Real World Ready.
