2012.02 Student Gathers Books to Support Library

Abby's Level R Project was to collect books for different libraries. The timing for the Cherokee County library book sale at end of February was perfect. Abby raised money for the library and donated some great books to the MSA library, too. Thank you for your donations and support! Special thanks to Brittany Emge, MSA Librarian, for helping unload and look through the hardbacks for MSA.

2012.01 Team Building Class Builds Bikes for Charity

This year the PreUpper School included a Team Building Class in their Winter Learning schedule with Will Turner and Judy Martin at the lead. Students participated in problem solving, cooperation and team building activities. They learned to listen to each other, speak one at a time, to support each other physically and emotionally, persistence and perseverance and that there is strength in numbers. To show their new skills, the students worked in teams to build small bikes and toys to donate to charity. The team building students were proud to share and to help load the Salvation Army truck.
