The Mustangs kicked off the varsity championship season today with a double win in the AAC Conference Championship.  Both the boys and girls teams brought home 1^st place trophies!! We will be looking for a repeat performance for the boys on Monday at the GISA 1AAA Region Championship in McDonough.

Spotlight on Madison Orr- she set a new school record for the ladies today. Also for the ladies, Chase Watson, Ashley Hyman, and Nicole Thomas all set personal records taking huge amounts of time off their best from last week.

In the boys’ race PRs were set by Matt McNaughton, Cole Landy, Johnny Ray, and Carter Cassel. Spotlight is on Cole Landy for shaving almost 1:30 off his time and moving up to the #3 spot on the team.  The boys performance today has further closed the gap in the rankings putting them only one point behind Weber and 4 points behind Holy Spirit in the race for the Championship title at Region.
