Mill Springs has been a lifeline for our family. We have two children attending MSA. We were looking for a school that would provide our boys with an opportunity to take charge of their own learning prepare them for tomorrow’s world and appreciate them for their individual gifts and talents. Mill Springs has not only met our needs but exceeded our expectations. Our boys have grown so much, both academically and personally. The independence and confidence they have developed is inspiring. Our boys are invested in their academic achievements and have become very determined learners. There was a time not long ago that my oldest of the two stated that he “didn’t ever want to go to school again”. He now sets his alarm and joyfully gets himself out the door each day. He very rarely asks for help with homework anymore. He is advocating for himself and driving his own success. We are happy to be a part of the Mill Springs community. It was the best decision we ever made.

I am so thankful to have found Mill Springs for my two boys. we had been at another school for over 6 years and I spent all my extra time during the latter of those years touring every school in Atlanta and some out of state. I was never fully satisfied with the educational experience they were receiving. Other parents would even seek out my advice on schools because they knew I was constantly searching for the right place for my kids. The minute I saw Mill Springs, I knew we were home. My boys gained so much in their first year, it was amazing. Needless to say, I haven't felt the need to tour another school!

All of us at Mill Springs have stories. We can talk endlessly about schools, teachers, therapies, books, workshops, diets, and the list goes on. Odds are that if you're on this website, you have stories, too.

My favorite story about our son's journey is the most recent. He has said several times this year that he is excited about school. In the past, we never dared to dream for excitement. We just hoped the anxiety and complaining would subside. Not only is he excited, but he has found two of those once in a lifetime teachers. They're all great teachers at Mill Springs, but something about these two made our son let them in. He knows they believe in him. They encourage him. They challenge him. He will do anything in response to earn their respect. He has initiative for the first time. If your stories are anything like ours, you know how blessed we feel.

While our son has bonded with two specific teachers, it is the support and nurturing of many Mill Springs teachers over the last four years that made these relationships possible. The teachers at Mill Springs believe in their students. Here's to a good story!
